In July 2010, the Group paid the second visit to China at the invitation of the CPAFFC. They visited Beijing, Shenyang and Shanghai.
While they were in Beijing, the delegation met with Jiang Shusheng, Vice Chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee, Fu Ying, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lu Yongzheng, Vice President of the All-China Youth Federation, Jiang Weigiang. Director General of the State Council Information Office of China and Chen Haosu, President of the CPAFFC.In addition, the delegation also visited the Great Wall, the Palace Museum and other cultural and historical sites,which increased their knowledge of Chinese history.
The purpose of the establishment of the EU-China Friendship Association is that Europe and China can learn from each other, explore and solve these problems based on the principle of mutual benefit. The delegation and the representatives from All-China Youth Federation discussed the idea of setting up a EU China Youth Club as the association to cooperate with the All-China Youth Federation. They also discussed such topics as mutual cooperation, promotion of Chinese culture, China's soft power, and world's understanding towards China with the representatives from the State Council Information Office of China.

In July 2010, the delegation met with H.E.Mr. Serge Abou, Ambassador of the EU Delegation to China while visiting China at the invitation of the CPAFFC

In July 2010, Chairman Deva met wit Liu Jieyi, Vice Minister of International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Cooperation between the Chinese Communist Party and the European Parties was discussed

In July 2010, the delegation attended the banquet hosted by Chen Haosu, President of the CPAFFC. During the banquet, they discussed about the broader and in-depth cooperation in the future and decided to set up the EU-China Friendship Association (in the European Parliament), which has been registered in December 2010 in Brussels

In July 2010, the delegation met with Fu Ying, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and discussed about EU-China relations, economic growth, and improving the European understanding of China


On July 24, 2010, the delegation visited the Expo 2010 Shanghai China. Later on that day, Gai Lin presented his autographed book to the European Union Pavilion
